A Few months ago I had the pleasure of shooting Laura & Kev’s Engagement Shoot, and From that day, I knew the wedding was going to be awesome! It was an amazing day, with amazing weather & a brilliant team of vendors! Not to mention guests that made me feel totally welcome.
The venue was The Shelley’s Hotel in Lewes & the catering was also provided by them (phenomenal steak!)
The cake was made by a lady without business cards, so I don’t know her name to give her credit for the beautiful ‘daisy’ cake.
Laura’s makeup was done by a lady who also had no business cards (notice a trend?!?) although I must say, she was an amazing calming influence in the dressing room & the makeup lasted brilliantly throughout the day!
The music was provided by a brilliant Beatles Tribute – Rubber Soul! The first dance was the Beatles classic ‘Something’, off the Abbey Road album… Good Work Guys!
The Flowers were by Nikki at Blooms For Business
**EDIT** Laura has told me the cake was made by Carol from Cakes Beyond Belief & makeup artist was Leola Roberts from Gorgeous You . **END EDIT**
There were so many details – Laura & Kev went to so much effort to make the day their own & It totally rocked…So without further jabbering, here are a few of my favourite shots from the day!
I’m thinking this first one, is one of my favourite images I’ve ever taken – its just screams intimacy – and the light is just magical – especially considering the weather during the rest of the week.

The Shoes – It wasn’t all Converse all star, we had the traditional bridal shoes for the majority of the day .
The Converse Allstars (in dress matching creme) came out after the reception.

We also had the ’something blue’ moment, with a cheeky little blue button on the garter…

The wedding cake looked amazing, It was so perfect it drew crowds – a few people even asked if the daisies were real!

The Steak Was delicious – Thanks Guys!

People don’t believe I do group shots, as I don’t put them on my blog…So to break a habit – here is a group confetti shot…pretty crazy! there are more without faces obscured etc….but this is the craziest – & I love it!

I adore this final shot, it has a kind of commercial, editorial quality to it. Just Married.

Of course, I have loads of shots more, so if anyone wants to see more (or vendors want to get a look!) let me know & I’ll hook you up!
Laura & Kevin – Congratulations! Best Wishes & Thanks to you & all your guests for letting me share your wedding & making me feel so welcome!
