Poppies, a Bridal Session in Falmer

Yes, I’ve taken a whole week to process these beauties, my bad:)I got so into the idea of poppies & poppy fields…I totally forgot that I don’t like red in photos, clashes with my orange! oh well…thats what post-processing is for:)

Seriously though, try to take a bad picture when your location & model look this good:

Poppy photographyPanoramic PortraitsThese shots are the reson I set up this shoot – I really wanted a netted veil in my portfolio – hopefully to inspire furutre brides how awesome they look!

Netted VeilBold fashion portraitLandscape Portrait weddingNext to the poppy field was a field of tall grass, just waiting to be used… & as the poppy field was overcrowded with photographers,  we headed over & got a few more shots:

There were loads to pick from, (& I may blog a few more in the future…) but as this wasn’t for a client I could be insane with my editing/deleting & really go for the ones I wanted!

BTW. I apologise to my regulars for having to have a little copyright watermark on all the images now, I hate having to do it, but someone brought some image theft to my attention recently & I really didn’t want these to go without credit!! – although I need to find a better, neater way to protect the images…

I didnt even notice the copyright until you mentioned it! :) Anyway.. these are so gorgeous! Something about poppies and sunlight.. I really like the grassfield photos too, though. Great work!

Very, very nice indeed and well worth the wait!! I love the processing you’ve done on the colour poppy shots – the muted colours are beautiful! The netted veil is totally cool. By-the-way, the copyright mark is very subtle and nicely done – if it solves your issue then I don’t think you’re impacting the images too much.

Simon, THESE ARE SO WORTH THE WAIT!! I love them all! The veil is HOT! The poppies rock and I like the fact they arent bright red! You ROCKED IT!

Wow, all of them are so good! The 5th one is my favourite – so awesome. Love, love, love the netted veil, cant understand why every bride doesnt have one!
