A few weeks ago I had a meeting with a couple whose wedding I’m shooting next year, Louise & Darren – They brought along their son Bayley & he was just desperate to pose for the camera! – I can honestly I’ve never met a child this easy to photograph (Louise told me her brother is a photography student, so I’m guessing Bayley is used to all the attention!)
I’m not claiming to be a specialist child portrait photographer (I love weddings too much!), But I think they turned out pretty nicely, So I thought I would put them here:
I’m really loving the lighting in this one, totally unposed or setup, Bayley was walking towards me, when he looked at his mum – and into some sweet light coming from a high window.
All these were taken with the 40d (still on test) overall I’m really happy with the way the cameras performing, low-light (High ISO/no flash) seem to be really nice, White balances in mixed light is a little bit weird, but nothing photoshop can’t sort out – really nice B&Ws though (straight out of camera, with a little sepia action in lightroom)
So that’s Bayley, I’m really looking forward to his parents wedding next year – Bayley will be around two years old (I Think?) So fingers crossed he’ll be just as easy to work with =)

In other news: Blog posts are little sporadic this time of year, super busy schedule…and the Penguins made the playoffs..so my time is divided. Expect things to get more regular over the next few months.
