Last week I had a lovely lunch with some lovely people, who are clearly in love…
suffice to say, it was lovely…
Oh.. and we also took some pictures…
Charissa & Joe are getting married in December, at Gate Street Barn in Surrey, & decided to have their engagement session in Brixton & around London, which was an perfect choice!! We wandered around and met tons of characters… Including one lady who questioned the artistic merit of a wall I was photographing & a chap who was convinced C&J were professional models & that I was a big deal, hotshot photographer… but that’s London for you!
One of the things I absolutely love about London, is that people just don’t care what your doing!! There’s me crouching in the middle of a busy street, them gazing into each others eyes & the rest of the world just carrying on around us!
Joe proposed to Charissa at the top of St Paul’s Cathedral – so we definitely needed to include that in the session!! It’s tough using a well known landmark in your shots, without them looking to ‘touristy’ – but think I’ve done something a little different with these two!
& as the day was coming to an end, it was getting cold & the sun was going down, it was down to the banks of the Thames for a bit of sunlight catching! It’s what I do…

Fantastic. Love the railways platform shots and the pavement shots in particular; totally in the moment. And indeed, rainbows!
The water spray shots are brilliant! Is this a sign that the flare shot will be passé in 2011? Are rainbows the future? Trend setter.
