Heather & Phil’s Engagement at Stanmer Park

27th May 2009

On Saturday I spent the day with Heather & Phil, for their engagement session,  We started in Stanmer Park & the forest around it, then headed to the University of Sussex campus,  where Heather & Phil first met (& Phil works!).

We had so much fun (& towards the end of our session, found some gorgeous light!) that we totally lost track of time & ended up getting my car locked in a car park that closed at 8pm. oops… Basically the poor thing had been taken hostage by a guy with far too much power & a seriously unfriendly attitude…but no harm done, after much groveling & apologising, he let us go… Suffice to say…I won’t be parking there again anytime soon!

But what a day! Great company, great light, great setting! I’m really looking forward to their Wedding in Brighton this September!

If you want to see more of their session, you can check out their Slideshow, All of the images are also available in the Store.

Comments:

  • Fantastic images – brightened up a dull day in Wales for me!

  • Sun flare and a beautiful field, LOVE it! Fantastic photos.. Love the close-up of holding hands, too!

  • Just wanted to say how much we love the piccies. Being locked in the park by the grumpy gate keeper is still making us giggle!

  • Beautiful pictures Simon.

  • These are seriously good. Love all of them a lot and wish I had taken them :-) Looks like the carpark incident was well worth it in terms of light. Inspired.

  • Great work as always, complete with the the flare I’ve come to know and love from you! The first one is all kinds of awesome, as is the shot of the hands through the flowers.
