FAQs
Do you travel for weddings?
Whilst many of my commissions are within Sussex, I’m happy to travel all around the UK. Recently, I’ve shot weddings & engagements in Sussex, London, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, Devon, Somerset, Manchester, Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Berkshire & Oxfordshire.
For weddings & engagements more than 90 minutes (by car) from Brighton, an additional charge may apply – to cover travel & any accommodation expenses.
I’m also happy to travel internationally, please ask for details.
How do we book you for our wedding?
First, check if I’m available! If I am, complete/return the booking form & agreement; pay the £500 booking fee & it’s all done. Date secured.
The booking fee is applied towards whichever package you chose, & the remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the wedding.
How do we pay?
I accept cash, cheques, bank transfers & credit/debit cards through paypal. If you want to pay me in gold, that’s also cool.
How many photos do we get?
300-600 photos for a wedding (depending on the length of coverage & structure of your day)
30-50 for an engagement.
Sometimes more, never less.
When do we get our wedding photos?
I aim to put your photos online & send you the hi-res files around 4-6 weeks after the wedding. Sometimes its quicker, & albums take longer.
Can we print photos? do you do prints?
All the edited photos are provided ‘ready to print’ & I recommend you do! – Photos are a million times better when you can hold them! It makes the moment all the more real!
I also offer a full print service through the online gallery included in all packages.
One photographer or two?
I work alone for 99% of my weddings as this suites my style the best. Working alone allows me to blend in with your guests ninja stylee & capture the day as it happens without disturbing anyone or getting in the way.
I’m a believer that wedding photography should be as unobtrusive as possible!
I can provide associate photographers if required, especially if you need photography in two places at once (being in two places at the same time isn’t one of my strong points…working on it though.)
Do you photograph anything besides weddings?
Sometimes! My schedule is pretty chock full of wedding-y goodness & playstation, but if someone wants me to shoot something else, I have the time (& I fancy doing it!), the sky’s the limit.
Faz…Fazaka…what now?
Fazackarley… it’s pronounced Faz-ack-arr-lee, It’s my surname, its my business name & It’s an old english word, meaning the clearing at the edge of the woods, apparently.
(wikipedia wouldn’t lie.)
Although I’m pretty sure 9/10 ye olde english words mean that.
What camera gear do you use? Do you bring backups?
I’m exclusively a Canon guy, For the camera geeks my main kit is:
5d mkII, 24mm f1.4L II, 35mm f1.4L, 45mm f2.8 TS-E, 50mm f1.2L, 100mm f2.8 Macro, 135mm f2.0L, 70-200mm f2.8L IS.
I also use 580EXII flashes, flash triggers, a few handheld video lights & a ton of other stuff that makes me feel super important.
I also bring backup cameras & lenses should anything happen to my main gear, coverage of your story won’t be affected.
Are you insured?
Yup, all my gear is insured & I also have public liability insurance. If you need proof of insurance (for your venue) let me know.
Can you recommend a …………….?
As I shoot tons of cool weddings, I get to work with tons of cool suppliers, so I have a few people whose services I can recommend over here.
