Last month I travelled up to Oxfordshire to assist my good friend ( & great wedding photographer) Mister Phill In photographing Kath Ians wedding. Their wedding took place at Friars Court. Not a venue I’d visited before (As Oxfordshire is a little out of my usual area!) but its a really lovely country house, with a barn a lovely area for outdoor ceremonies.
I’d wanted to shoot with Phill for a while, as he has such a great sense of timing I adore the storytelling aspect of his work – Documentary photography, wedding photojournalism, reportage whatever you want to call it – Wedding Photography should be about capturing the day, telling the story… keeping those beautiful memories moments for generations to come Phill does it brilliantly! So when the opportunity to shoot with him came up, see how he works I jumped at the chance!

So many stunning images Simon, it’s hard to know where to start commenting! So many great moments and expressions captured – love the shots of the children. Amazing detail shots too. Loving your processing on this shoot (looks a little different from your previous shoots)? The B&Ws in particular are really fantastic.
Im going to start charging double and book you for every commission I get! Exquisite work Mister F! Far more than the sum of its parts.
How does the sun always shine on your shoots? These are absolutely gorgeous. I am inspired and jealous in equal measure. Very very lovely indeed.

Great work throughout and what a star second shooter! Mister Phill is one lucky guy. I especially love all the reception coverage and all the details although I am now very hungry! Really like that quirky sunset silhouette too – it’s warm and atmospheric.
