Laura & James got married in the Peak District, at the brilliant Thornbridge Hall – I absolutely love travelling for weddings, There’s something very special about heading to an unfamiliar area (especially one as beautiful as the peak district!) & being able to fully immerse yourself in the wedding for the weekend.
I made the long journey up the day before their wedding, to ensure I was there on time & stayed in a hotel with some of the wedding party – It’s great being able to go straight in and become a part of the group & atmosphere – not only does it really help me to get a feel for who everyone is, and capture the real story of the wedding – it’s also a lot of fun!! Although I thought it best to leave the shots of rum to the guests =)
This was my first Thornbridge Hall wedding, but it’s such an incredible venue, I would hugely love to go back there again for more weddings, especially considering the weather wasn’t the best – (I would just love to explore the surrounding area on a drier day!) But, Laura & James dint let the weather get them down though, they had such a fun filled day! It was a total pleasure to photograph.
