Late last month I had the pleasure of photographing Hannah & Johns wedding, at Wiston House, Steyning, Sussex… Regular blog readers will remember Hannah & John from their engagement session early in the year! (You can see their gorgeous engagement ).
I knew their wedding was going to be good, and it was! So many lovely details & the weather managed to stay dry for the important bits!!
I started the day with Hannah, getting ready! Lovely room to start in, so bright, just what a photographer needs in Late November! I’d never been to Wiston, but now I have, I’m so looking forward to the year ahead as I have a few more there!! – I get to see it in all seasons!!

Winter weddings have some great little details, Bridal gloves & Feather Boa’s are very cool!!

With Hannah all ready to go, I’m thought I’d try some more editorial shots! I Love them!! Hannah Working It!!

Quick moment catching up with Hannahs dad, getting a bit of practice on the speech!!

Meanwhile, downstairs John was arriving with his bestman Duncan, in a gorgeous Jaguar! (a Jaaaaaaaag)

I’d heard that John was going with Kilts! As both sides of his Family have tartan! But theres something special about actually seeing them!! Especially in late-November! Very good looking tartan!!

Time to catch up with John, get a few details & portraits while he still looked relaxed!!

onto the ceremony! – Wiston House has a chapel on site!

I had my friend & super talented photographer Verity-May second shooting on this wedding, shooting nice moments like the one below from the back!

While I was upfront getting some lovely emotion!!

Johns dad giving a lovely reading!

I abosolutely adore this next one! The chapel was layed out in a way that i could stay with the action without getitng in the way!

After the ceremony, Hannah & John had a piper play them out! Keeping the theme strong!
Love a bit of confetti action!! even more so when a Tartan clad Elmo features in it!! perfect

After the ceremony & the group shots, we wandered into the gardens for a little while!

We wandered the gardens a little bit, getting a few nice shots, before a spontaneous game of tennis broke out!! Love it!

The great hall lives up to its name!!

The table were named after songs! Funky details!!

Mike, the videographer from videosbymike had set up huge floodlights for the speeches – perfect for a dark November evening!!
What an amazing fireplace!!
Onto the first dance!! Such a fun couple!!
& finally, This last shot, from Verity just jumped out at me!! So many happy faces!! Great stuff!!

What a great couple & an amazing wedding!!
Thanks so much to: Duncan & all the Ushers/groomsmen for the help throughout the day!! You guys are superstars!! to Verity-May for being a great assistant! to Mike the Videographer for being so easy to work with!! The staff at Wiston for being awesome & keeping everything running smoothly!!
And most importantly!! Thanks to Hannah & John for inviting me to be a part of your day!
The rest of the photos are in store , secured with Hannah’s maiden name – all ready for when Hannah & John are back from honeymoon!!

You should seriously blog more often. What a shame it would have been if people didn’t get to see these. Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL shots. Especially love the spontaneous tennis series. Well played
I concur. Hannah & John get to see all the images. No doubt they’re going to be over the moon with them. But think about your public! :~) This body of images is an absolute treasure.
Fabulous shots. It’s true – you need to blog more so we can see more like this! Great work.
Wonderful as usual – but how could you fail with such a fab assistant
