I don’t find myself in London & Surrey for a lot of weddings – whilst about 85% of my clients are London folks, most choose to get married in the country, Sussex for example. But London is one of my favourite places to shoot – so when Jada & Chino enquired about me photographing their wedding – I knew it would be great.
I first came into contact with Jada through a wedding I photographed a few years ago (Alex & Yasmin), where she was working with the catering & events company, so when she emailed me about her wedding, I was so excited, as I knew that it was going to be meticulously planned, full of great details & of course, have tons of great food!
They had their ceremony at the beautifully quirky Asylum (aka Caroline Gardens Chapel) – a place I’ve wanted to photograph at for a long time – since seeing it on Don’t Tell the Bride! – Which, funnily enough is where J&C found out about it too!
After the ceremony they jumped aboard a vintage bus, & headed to their reception at The Crypt on the Green. En-route they sang along to their friend playing The Bare Necessities from The Jungle book on his guitar – if all bus travel was this fun, I’d use buses more often!
Chino is an artist & made many of the details that decorated the reception, from the beautiful handmade copper favours to various lights & furniture pieces around the reception venue – truly a pleasure to photograph a wedding with such attention to detail!
Jada, Chino – Congratulations & Thank you for having me along to document your beautiful story!
