I first met Liv back in 2012 at Heather & Tim’s Wedding – where she was the maid of honour & was immensely helpful throughout the day – especially during the group photos! So when her email dropped into my inbox enquiring If I’d be able to be her wedding photographer, for her Farbridge Barn Wedding – I was massively excited. Knowing the crowd & some of the family already, I knew it was going to be a relaxed, fun & friendly day – one that would be immensely fun to document.
I was also really glad to see Heather & Tim again – My work allows me to meet so many wonderful, interesting folks – if only for a short while – So catching up with them & finding out how they’ve been & what they’re upto is always a treat.
Anyway, back to the VIPs for the day! – Liv & Neil! Liv was easily one of the most excited, energetic brides I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with & Neil was so relaxed, it made it so easy to spend the day with them! You could tell the thought & effort they’d put into the day, so when the skies opened & we were bombarded by Storm Angus it would have been so easy for them to get disheartened, but no – not these guys – they took it all in their stride & had an amazing day, albeit with more umbrellas than they probably had imagined – they even embraced the cold & stormy weather after dark, to come out and have some photos!
I started the day with Neil & the boys in Hampshire, while my partner Heather – who was taking a break from making wedding videos to be my second photographer for the day – photographed the girls getting ready in Sussex. Then we met up later at the church for their emotional ceremony, before heading over to the beautiful Farbridge Barn for an afternoon of fabulous food & an evening of dancing!
Credit has to be given to the venue also – Farbridge Barn Chichester is a really lovely place – as photographers we get to see an amazing selection of venues across a variety of different days, times of year and weathers – so to come across a venue that shared Liv and Neils complete disregard for the torrential storm outside was pretty special, everyone happily went about the business of celebrating inside while the world was particularly less warm and dry outside. Design-wise the layout reminded us of Bury Court Barn, one of most photographed wedding venues – so we felt right at home!
Liv & Neil – Thank you so much for having us along, you’re such lovely people & we’re so glad you picked us to be a part of your special day!
