It’s such a pleasure to document a wedding so full of beauty and beautiful moments, and to witness such strong relationship between family and friends is truly special. Amy and Martyn’s wedding story was full of such moments, wonderful people and stunning, hand picked details – being set against the incredible backdrop that is Great Fosters, makes for a wedding story not to be missed.
Amy and Martyn celebrated their wedding at Great Fosters, one of Surrey’s most prestigious venues. Its an incredible 14th century Elizabethan Manor House filled with so much character and charm, it exudes wow factor and it’s the ultimate setting for a chic and sophisticated wedding – as you’ll see Amy and Martyn had just that.
Amy stayed at Great Fosters the night before the wedding, meaning she could truly relax with her bridesmaids ahead of her special day – and the bond she shared with her bridesmaids was wonderful to witness. It was important to her that she could have these moments with the ladies in her life and equally important to us to capture these for her. The ‘grand unveiling’ of her dress was a truly heart-warming moment, followed up beautifully by Amy’s dad shedding some tears as he saw his daughter for the first time.
Accompanying the bridesmaids was the cutest little flower girl, who just adored being the center of attention, whilst having her nails painted by all the grown-up bridesmaids – who also relished the opportunity to move out of the limelight for a little while!
Family and friends was a big focus of their day, and they surrounded themselves with their nearest and dearest. who had travelled far and wide, during the most wonderful, intimate and emotional ceremony in the Orangery, before braving the December chill and spilling out onto the terraces and into the gardens, for their drinks reception.
The day ran flawlessly thanks to the team at Great Fosters, and all of the guests were completely looked after – and even entertained by the wonderful singing waiter!
All of this grandeur was wrapped up beautifully with evening in front of the fires, surrounded by laughter and dancing in the atmospheric Tithe barn. Thanks to Amy & Martyn for having me along to capture the day!
