Wedding Barns Hampshire
Wedding barns are such popular venues for weddings – and for good reason! Situated in idyllic surroundings and steeped in rustic charm, they offer the chance for you to really put your own personal touch to your special day and make a great choice as the backdrop to your special day. And Hampshire has some really beauty’s for you to choose from. We’ve put together a list of some of our favorites below:
Clock Barn
One of the first things that will impress you on your first visit to Clock Barn is the long private driveway surrounded by open fields in the lush Hampshire countryside and then your first glimpse of the Barn and its historic clock tower.Clock Barn is a family-run wedding venue and offers a range of options for your wedding ceremony, as well as on-site accommodation which you can use to get ready before your ceremony. The barn is adorned with fairy lights and bunting so it looks dreamy for your ceremony and provides a canopy of twinkling stars for your evening celebrations.
The Tithe Barn
This impressive Grade II listed building is situated close to the South Downs Way on the borders of Hampshire and West Sussex. Popular with many couples because of its classic church-like feel and soft white stone interior. This venue allows you to hold your wedding ceremony and reception all under one roof and you get exclusive hire for the whole day. Another bonus, when it gets a bit too much for your little guests there’s a special room they can go to watch a dvd and have a bit of quiet time – if you’re a parent then this really is fantastic.
The Great Barn
Another beautiful Hampshire wedding barn, The Great Barn is situated in the Titchfield Conservation area and is a fully licenced venue so you can hold your ceremony and reception all in the same place – no need for your guests to rush from place to place and plenty of on-site parking. What makes this venue a bit different is its raked seating auditorium – a bit like a cinema – so all your friends and family will get a great view of your exchanging your vows and no frantic scrambling to catch that first glimpse of you walking down the aisle. As you’d expect, the Barn is situated in beautiful surroundings and the secluded garden area is the perfect backdrop for your drinks reception and wedding photos.
Bury Court
Located on the Surrey Hampshire borders, Bury Court is a luxurious Barn venue with stunning courtyard gardens and far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside. Bury Court boasts light and airy interiors – the perfect setting for indoor weddings and some truly stunning gardens. They also have a lovely outdoor ceremony gazebo which you can adorn with your favorite blooms.

Country House Wedding Venues Hampshire
Everyone wants a bit of splendour on their wedding day which is why country houses are such popular wedding venues. Tree-lined driveways, impressive historic architecture and beautiful surroundings all offer the perfect backdrop for your wedding celebrations. Most country houses also offer an on-site wedding team helping relieve some of the planning stress. For a lot of couples there’s something very appealing about having everything under one roof, leaving you free to dance the night away safe in the knowledge that your bed is just a short walk away. Somerley
Somerley is a beautiful Stately Home in Ringwood Hampshire. Steeped in Georgian elegance, Somerley offers all-out splendour for couples wanting a truly majestic wedding, with manicured lawns for your drinks reception and a stunning Picture Gallery for a spot of fine dining at your wedding breakfast. As the sun sets and the evening draws in you can dance the night away with your friends and family in the impressive Drawing Room. Rhinefield House Hotel
Set in the heart of the New Forest, Rhinefield House is a magnificent County House, blending Tudor and Gothic architecture. The Hotel boasts extensive gardens filled with ornamental ponds, offering the option of both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. We’ve shot a fair few weddings at this fabulous venue over the years like Kate & Ralph’s beautiful autumnal celebration.
Chewton Glen
A quintessentially English Country House and Hotel situated at the edge of the New Forest, if you’re looking for luxury then Chewton Glen is certainly worth considering, fine dining, tranquil spa facilities, a famous wine list, and over 130 acres of woodland, gardens and parkland. Chewton offers a range of different wedding packages to choose from. But it’s the accommodation where Chewton really excels, with 72 rooms and suites, 14 of them being dreamy luxury treehouses – regularly seen on Instagram. Imagine spending your wedding night in a hot tub, glass of champagne in your hand as you and your love gaze out at the night sky. We can’t imagine anything more perfect!
Highfield Park
Set in 35 acres of rolling parklands, with a tree-lined driveway and 17th century mansion house Highfield Park is a superb Hampshire wedding venue. Foodies will love Highfield’s fantastic menus, with many of the ingredients being sourced from Highfield’s organic Farm – they also boast a great selection of English wines to accompany your wedding breakfast.
Froyle Park
Froyle Park is a stunning country house hotel on the Hampshire and Surrey border. The house is 16th Century Jacobean in style and surrounded by the rolling Hampshire countryside. At Froyle Park you have the option of getting married indoors in the light and airy Great Hall or more intimate Drawing Room. Couples dreaming of an outdoor ceremony are able to use the elegant Dome structure with beautiful views of the grounds as you exchange vows. If you are planning an Asian wedding in Hampshire then Froyle Park is certainly worth considering as they are able to host up to 300 guests and specialise in Asain unions including, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi and Muslim ceremonies.
The Elvetham
The Elvetham is one of Hampshire’s most historic venues and was once the ancestral home of Jane Seymour, 3rd wife of Henry VIII. If you’re looking for opulent luxury steeped in English history then this might just be the place for you! The House is set within 35 acres of landscaped gardens with a range of opulent suites and rooms to allow your family and friends to stay with you before and after your wedding day. The House also has its own private helicopter landing site if you’d like to arrive in style.
Lainston House
Lainston House is another exclusive-use elegant country house wedding venue in Hampshire. Lainston offers couples a huge range of options for their wedding day, with a beautiful wedding barn, an outdoor pavilion, a marquee space and, of course, and grand rooms within the house itself. The house has 50 bedrooms available so you have the option to really make a weekend of it and have your friends and family staying overnight at the Estate with you, perhaps even joining you for breakfast the following day.
Outdoor Weddings Hampshire
If you’re a free spirited nature lover then an outdoor wedding might be the right fit for you. Exchanging vows in the warmth of the summer sun, feasting with your loved ones surrounded by nature and then dancing til dawn under a blanket of stars.
Hampshire offers some truly amazing venues for outdoor wedding ceremonies and there really is something to suit all budgets. If you like things rustic & romantic then there are the Woodlands at Somerley, where you walk up a wedding aisle of majestic Douglas Firs and exchange your vows in the rustic wooden folly. But outdoor weddings don’t have to be rustic, with many venues offering some really luxurious options like the Walled Gardens at Somerley and Chewton Glen.
Weddings in the Wood
If you’ve always dreamt of exchanging your vows amongst tranquil natural surroundings then there can’t be much more romantic that a woodland wedding with the New Forest. Weddings in the wood is a private, secluded venue offering a variety of wedding packages: two licenced premises for civil marriages and partnerships and two woodland locations for blessings. The perfect blank canvas for you to design your perfect wedding day.
Somerly Woodlands
If you’d love an outdoor wedding but also like a bit of luxury then Somerley has your back. Somerley is a stunning Georgian House and Estate in Ringwood Hampshire, but as well as offering classic countryhouse weddings, Somerley also offer some truly wonderful options for outdoor weddings. Bohemians will be drawn to the enchanted clearing where you can exchange vows beneath whispering Douglas Firs within a rustic folly. If that’s a touch too rustic for your taste then Sommerley’s walled garden is a beautiful alternative and is able to accommodate up to 350 guests! Bring the garden alive with music and dancing in this breathtaking private outdoor space.
Harewood Forest Hampshire
Harewood promises it is the most magical and enchanting woodland wedding venue in the UK. And for those wanting a truly unique wedding this is a must-see – you can literally do with it as you wish! Situated in the middle of an ancient oak forest, Harewood is a must for true outdoor enthusiasts and can cater to parties from as few as 40 to as many as 500! You are free to decorate the venue as you wish, bring in your own outside caterers and provide all your own booze.
For overnight accommodation you can choose to go posh by hiring some yurts or teepees for a memorable glamping experience. If you prefer to rough it then you and your guests can set up tents in a specially allocated clearing in the forest, ready for a night under the stars and a good old camp-fire fry up in the morning.

Three Choirs Vineyard Hampshire
Set near the picturesque countryside of the Meon Valley and Wickham, Three Choirs is a beautiful Hampshire vineyard with an old winery that has been renovated into a rustic barn and is the only licensed vineyard in Hampshire. The Old Winery offers wooden beams, and chandeliers made of vintage crystal cut wine glasses – a lovely combination of modern and rustic. Three Choirs offers 4 ceremony locations around the vineyard from the Winery itself to an outdoor gazebo and a Byre, a covered aisle space with exposed beans and views across the courtyard. And of course we can’t fail to mention the vineyard itself with a choice of some of England’s finest wines – a must for wine-lovers!
The Great Hall Winchester
Wedding venues don’t come much grander that the Great Hall in Winchester, perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions. If you’ve always dreamt of hosting a huge banquet for your wedding day then this is the venue for you! The Great Hall is one of the finest surviving medieval aisled halls from the 13th century and once formed part of Winchester Castle. Within the Hall is the iconic Round Table – said to be linked to King Arthus and his famous knights.
Kingsettle Stud
Kingsettle is part of the Cholderton Estate, a 2500 acre working organic farm in Hampshire with its own arboretum and walled garden. Host your dream Humanist ceremony within the grounds of a Grade II listed Victorian Stable Block. The venue offers a Carriage Room, which is a light and airy barn ready for your to put your own stamp on, opening out onto a courtyard where you are your guests can enjoy canapes and a drinks reception. The venue also offers a range of accommodation options for you and your guests to stay for the weekend.
