On a beautiful day in Autumn, at the wonderful Pelham House in Lewes, Lilly and John brought together all of their closest family and friends to celebrate their wedding.
From beginning to end their day was filled with warmth, happiness and joy. Lilly and John are clearly well loved and their guests made sure they started their marriage with a proper party. Once the dance floor filled up just after the first dance – it didn’t empty until it was time to go home, just the way it should be.
From Lilly’s incredibly elegant Wtoo Watters dress to the handsome boys in their bow ties the day was styled to perfect and everyone looked chic and sophisticated. The Pelham House dream team of Nadia Harper and Garvin Harvie were on hair and makeup, a duo I’ve had the pleasure of working with many, many times and who always ensure everything runs smoothly and most importantly, everyone looks perfection! Another of my favourite vendors, the wonderful Tony Dunn – did the flowers for Lilly & John and as ever, made everything look sensational.
Lilly & John could not have been more fun to work with, they were open to all suggestions and gave me their full trust when it came to capturing their special day – as a wedding photographer, you can not ask for more. From candid, documentary moments of the ladies getting ready at the bridal suite and later, the Pelham Suite, through to the boys in the powder room the day started perfectly and with an indoor ceremony the warmth could be felt throughout. After the ceremony Lilly & John wanted to pop up to Lewes Castle for a few couple photos, before getting back to their guests for an evening of good food, great speeches and fun dancing.
