After some truly awful May weather the sun decided to make a welcome appearance for Julia and Anuar’s wedding at Bury Court, a stunning barn wedding venue in Surrey – And boy was it a beautiful day! I’ve photographed many a wedding in Surrey, being based so close & it’s always a great place to shoot!
Although I’d not met Julia and Anuar before the wedding I had spoken to them on the phone and knew how warm and friendly they both were so I was mega excited about shooting their wedding!
The couple really wanted dual coverage of their wedding so I had Heather shooting with me for the day – it’s always lovely to capture both the groom and the brides morning prep! And at Bury Court the ceremony and reception all take place in the grounds of the venue so Heather and I were able to easily dart about from morning prep to ceremony and then reception without missing any of the action.
Prior to the ceremony I’d popped down to see Anuar as he was greeting guests – seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever met a more smiley groom! As we were talking I also got the chance to meet Rufus, Anuar and Julia’s dog. Rufus had the important task of being ring bearer for the ceremony, and he’d been kitted out in a little bow tie for the occasion.
After the ceremony the guests headed out in the gardens of Bury Court for chilled glasses of Pimms and canapés, so after they’d had a chance to chat to all their guests I took the chance to sneak Julia and Anuar off for a few couple portraits in the stunning grounds of Bury Court. As you’ll see from the photos, Anuar and Julia are naturals in front of the camera and seriously photogenic!
Julia and Anuar you were both so incredibly lovely and made our job so much easier. Thanks for having us along to photograph your wedding and sending you our very best wishes for the future! xx
