Where to begin with this day, it was a total roller coaster of joy. Max said in his speech that he and Katie are always the happiest people in whatever room they’re in – it’s impossible not to agree – smiles and laughter covered their faces for the entire day, except perhaps with a small break for the emotional bits – but those are entirely required at a wedding!
They certainly had some competition from their family and friends in the happiness stakes though, the joy and enthusiasm from everyone was utterly contagious – everyone was in incredible spirits and completely up for a party. From the excitement of the preparations in the morning through to the dancing in the evening, everything was infused with joy – exactly what’s needed to make for an incredible day.
With the ceremony taking place at the magnificent Chichester Cathedral and the reception held at Goodwood House in Sussex, Rosie and Alistair’s wedding was the epitome of English elegance.
The couple are originally from Sussex but now live in Switzerland, so they flew over from Zurich to be married at the Cathedral by Bishop Michael, a close friend of Rosie’s family.
After the wedding ceremony a vintage double decker bus was ready and waiting to transport everyone to Goodwood House. While the guests were boarding the bus I made a mad dash to get to Goodwood ahead of them so I could get some shots as they made their arrival up the sweeping driveway.
Later on in the evening Rosie & Alistair unveiled one of their own special wedding touches: a giant illuminated sign spelling out Cogwalks – a play on their new married names.
Rosie works in events so as you’d expect the day was meticulously planned and went without a hitch!
Massive congratulations Rosie & Alistair!
Katherine and Dominic’s Goodwood House wedding was a truly sophisticated and stylish day filled with emotion.
