Victoria & Jon got married at The Barn at Bury Court – I’ve had a pleasure of photographing quite a few Bury Court Weddings over the years, So I know what a gorgeous venue it is! & having shot their engagement in the new forest & getting to know them over the past year or so, it was a day I’d been looking forward to for ages! It was doubley exciting, as I’ve been working with Victoria on a few other projects this past year; & over business lunches (mmm burgers!) I’d heard stories about their families, so I felt like I knew everyone before the day even began – & putting faces to names was great fun!
Featuring special guest appearances from Carolanne Armstrong.
Nic & Wills gorgeous wedding was featured on Rock My Wedding recently!
There’s a selection of photos & Nic wrote a really nice piece on the whole experience! Was such a lot of fun reliving the day =)
You can check out the feature here: http://www.rockmywedding.co.uk/an-open-air–at-notley-abbey/
& you can check out my gallery of Nic & Wills lovely photos here: Nic & Will – Notley Abbey Wedding Photography
Nic and Will’s stunning Notley Abbey Wedding received alot of media coverage, including a wonderful feature on the popular wedding blog Rock My Wedding. Nic wrote a wonderfully detailed account of their special day, and on the subject of wedding photographers, she had this to say:
“(Simon’s) pictures have such an ethereal feel and captured the relaxed, fun vibe of the day perfectly. It also helped hugely that he’s SUCH a brilliant person, someone that we could feel completely at ease being a major part of our big day, and he definitely didn’t let us down. We couldn’t have been happier with the results…”
The entire article is well worth a read if you’re planning your own Notley Abbey Wedding.
Nic and Will celebrated their very special day at the inimitable Notley Abbey on the Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire borders, the venue is such a chic and sophisticated location, but also incredibly relaxed and not too formal, so it was the perfect venue for Nic and Will to celebrate their wedding. The house has such a long history of incredible parties – owing in no small part to it’s former life the home of renown socialites Sir Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh – Previous guests at this incredible venue are said to include King Henry the VIII and in more recent times, Marilyn Monroe – So to say Nic and Will were in good company in their venue choice is a complete understatement.
Aisling & Phil got married in Berkshire, The official ceremony took place at Berkshire Registry Office, but the majority of the day was spent in Aisling & Phillip’s beautiful garden, complete with River! Which, on one of the hottest day’s *ever* was a welcome addition!!
I recently got contacted by the folk at Rock My Wedding to ask if I was free on the 5th June. Turns out they had a bride contact them, whose photographer had disappeared 2 weeks before the big day!! (ouch!) & the folk at RMW made it their task to ensure the bride got someone awesome…As luck would have it I was available on that date so they directed her my way, and after some emailing & a chat over the phone, Aisling booked me! Yay!
