I first met Liv back in 2012 at Heather & Tim’s Wedding – where she was the maid of honour & was immensely helpful throughout the day – especially during the group photos! So when her email dropped into my inbox enquiring If I’d be able to be her wedding photographer, for her Farbridge Barn Wedding – I was massively excited. Knowing the crowd & some of the family already, I knew it was going to be a relaxed, fun & friendly day – one that would be immensely fun to document.
After some truly awful May weather the sun decided to make a welcome appearance for Julia and Anuar’s wedding at Bury Court, a stunning barn wedding venue in Surrey – And boy was it a beautiful day! I’ve photographed many a wedding in Surrey, being based so close & it’s always a great place to shoot!
Although I’d not met Julia and Anuar before the wedding I had spoken to them on the phone and knew how warm and friendly they both were so I was mega excited about shooting their wedding!
The couple really wanted dual coverage of their wedding so I had Heather shooting with me for the day – it’s always lovely to capture both the groom and the brides morning prep! And at Bury Court the ceremony and reception all take place in the grounds of the venue so Heather and I were able to easily dart about from morning prep to ceremony and then reception without missing any of the action.
Catherine & Jon are two thoroughly lovely people, with the most welcoming group of family and friends. They started the day at Old Thorn’s Manor Hotel, before moving onto St. John The Baptist Church, and then Cain Manor (on the Surrey, Hampshire Borders) – a trio of great venues!
The weather was absolutely perfect and everyone just had a really chilled, relaxed day – so much so that they were up for getting creative with group shots. I even managed to steal Catherine & Jon away at Sunset for a few photos in some of the most gorgeous light I’ve seen in a long time!
They had myself & Heather along for the day to document the fun, laughter, love (& jumping!)
Following on from Jen & Steves wonderful registry office wedding in Brighton with Marilyn & Elvis – they had a humanist ceremony at the beautiful Hill Place in Hampshire. They took over the house for an entire weekend of Fun, Laughter, Frisbee & Jaegermeister!
Jeni is an amazing/world famous makeup artist (Jeni Dodson) who I’ve had the great pleasure of working with at a few weddings, so for her to choose me to document their wedding(s!) was an insanely huge honour, she’s worked with thousands of photographers so its such a compliment that she would pick me to capture their weddings! & a special thank you to Heather, who came along and documented the day with me! The images below represent a good mix of both our efforts.
This wedding has just been featured over on RocknRollBride – Where Jen and Steve have provided a lovely write up of their experience.
I first got to know Emily and Stuart when they were the Bridesmaid & Usher at a previous wedding I’d shot (the lovely Kate and David, who in a wonderful role reversal were Bridesmaid & Usher today!) so I knew their wedding would be a lot of fun – and I knew a lot of their friends too, so it was great to catch up with them again! Newick Rugby club sure know how to have a good time!
Emily and Stu had chosen a circus theme for their reception – with a marquee set up to look like a big-top, hula hoops, plate-spinning and a circus tent cake. Emily even arrived at the church in the most amazing clown-themed car!
Everything a wedding should be – family, friends and a lot of fun!
I had the ultra talented Heather Wilkinson helping me out at this wedding!
Just a quick post today, out of twenty five birthdays I think I’ve been to Beaulieu for two of them!. I went to Beaulieu motor museum as a small child, & have the photo, that pretty much everyone who’s been there has –
The photo of a young me, standing in front of James Bond’s Aston Martin DB4. Yup – 007’s car. One of the coolest car’s ever. ergo, I’m cool by association. or not.
My second time to Beaulieu was for my 25th, although with Susanne & Aled getting married, which is slightly more important, & the reason I was there; So I should probably refer to it as their wedding day, rather than my birthday…
So, without further ado here are a few of my favourite photos from
my birthday their wedding!
