Laura and James are all about the finer things in life, designer brands and a high end lifestyle, so it came as no surprise that that would chose to be married amongst such opulent surroundings, Thornbridge regularly tops lists as one of the most luxurious wedding venues in England and for very good reason, It’s a truly stunning venue, surrounded by 12 acres of quintessentially English gardens, right in the middle of the Peak District – widely regarded to be one of the most beautiful parts of England. It shares alot in common with Brympton House, another venue that epitomizes luxury above all else – albeit at the other end of the country.
It was designed at the end of the 19th Century to create a vision of ‘1,000 shades of green’ which the owner wanted to be able to see from his bedroom window – I think he succeeded as the gardens are absolutely stunning, although for Laura and James, largely inaccessible due to the torrential rain they experienced during the day.
Our story starts with Laura & the girls getting ready at Thornbridge Hall – the rooms make for a truly wonderful surrounding to prepare for a very special day – and of course, the girls all looked terribly elegant in their matching silk robes! Laura has a superb eye for detail and paid great attention to everything – from her incredible dress to her stunning Jimmy Choos to gorgeous jewelry – Laura is a bride with impeccable taste.
James had sent over some presents and had asked me to capture the emotions on Lauras face as she read the accompanying card – I think he knew what were were aiming for, but I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of their story.
Keep going to the end for a horse and carriage, a personalized message from a sheikh, a shisha tent, an incredible 80’s band and a full on nightclub experience – this wedding had it all!
