Planning a short wedding?
We offer options especially for smaller midweek weddings.
Couples getting married at Brighton Town Hall have a great range of options, one of the most popular being The Regency Room. Situated on the Ground Floor of the Town Hall, directly opposite the Registrars Office, alongside the Fitzherbert Room. It has a capacity of 50 guests, but we find keeping the number under 30 provides the best atmosphere. It’s a lovely, medium-sized room that opens straight out onto the Square – perfect for those confetti exits! Decorated in warm, Regency colours of reds, browns and creme – it’s a wonderful backdrop for your wedding ceremony and a great spot to start the celebrations, before moving onto somewhere else for your reception.
Over the past few years we’ve covered lots of weddings In the Regency Room, here are a few of them to inspire you and show what weddings there are like.
Allison & Jacks Wedding at the Regency Room
Allison and Jack are a couple of total cuties (& Instagram celebrities with 130k+ followers!) who met at Guildford School of Acting in Surrey. Brighton has particular significance for them as it was where Jack proposed last year, so the couple picked the City as the venue for their big day. They were joined on the day by all their friends from the School of Acting and Allison’s relatives, who live in America and travelled over especially for the wedding. After the ceremony, we headed out into the lanes for some photos, before travelling across town for their reception.
This was a lovely informal wedding, with preparations at The Grand Hotel, followed by a ceremony at the Regency Room in Brighton Town Hall, before on to a nice relaxed reception meal at Cote Brasserie.
Alex & Kelly’s Wedding at the Regency Room
Alex & Kelly got married in The Regency Room – they are two of the most laid back, relaxed & friendly folks you could meet and their day was the most loving and intimate celebration at Brighton Town Hall.
Their love for each other shone through in every aspect of the day and the support and love from their families was evident, A wonderful, welcoming bunch who had travelled far and wide!
Also in attendance was Gary the Pug, who made a cheeky little appearance after the ceremony!
They had their ceremony at Brighton Town Hall, before heading over to Proud Cabaret in Kemp Town for night of dancing, drinking & partying.
We hope these weddings have given you a little insight into what’s possible at the Regency Room. It’s a great spot to get the legal bit done and these images should show that you can have a variety of different weddings there. With so many lovely bars, restaurants and other venues close at hand you really can celebrate in style and put your own stamp on the day.
We’re regulars at the Town Hall, and not just the Regency Room, we’ve also captured many in their other rooms such as The Fitzherbert Room and The Council Chambers.
