A few weeks ago, I celebrated my 30th Birthday, & what better way to celebrate your birthday, than by doing something you absolutely love! I had the pleasure of documenting Chloé & Dave’s special day & I cannot think of a nicer bunch of people to spend the day with!! They are such stars they even gave me a special Birthday shoutout in their speeches & then brought me out a stunning cake!
It also marked the first time Heather & I have photographed a wedding together since Robyn was born, 7 months ago – strangely she has been busy up until this point & unable to be my second photographer, but we’re pleased to say we are now back to normal! (Albeit normal +1!)
Anyway, enough about us – back to the lovely Chloé & Dave… They are complete family people, they love their families & children, & they filled their day with both! They had around 20 children for the day (which I think may be some kind of record), one of which being their own daughter Flo – who absolutely stole the show!
Yet, They still managed to have such a relaxed day, which saw them literally taking over the entire village of Alfriston for the day (I love Alfriston, Sussex has so many beautiful little villages – it reminded me alot of Ticehurst, one of our other regular haunts), splitting the celebrations between five different venues – Chloé’s mums house, The Star Inn for their ceremony, The Old Chapel Centre for their drinks reception, The Tye for confetti & then finishing the day with food & dancing at the lovely village hall!
Its so nice when everything is within walking distance of each other – it really adds to that relaxed vibe & Alfriston is a particularly beautiful village which gave us lots of opportunities for lovely photos, so even though the weather didn’t go as planned, everything else turned out amazingly!
To Chloé & Dave, Thank you so much for having us along for the ride – it was amazing on so many levels & a special Thank you for my cake & speeches mention – I haven’t blushed in many years, but you made it happen!! xx
