Rebecca & Paul got married a couple of weeks ago at Brighton Unitarian Church – not a location I’d had the chance to photograph in before, but one I’ve always admired from outside (hint. there’s a good pub opposite.) It’s a beautiful, imposing, white building, which really stands out against the more modern architecture popping up in that part of Brighton.
Having met them, a few weeks before their wedding, for their pre wedding photography session, I had a fair idea of what to expect from their day & was really excited to be a part of it, but their day totally surpassed exceptions from beginning to end. They are both so very fun to be around & their guests sure knew how to have a good time!
I started the day at Rebecca & Paul’s house, with the girls all getting ready & was stunned by how chilled everyone was, wedding mornings can be a bit hectic sometimes – but Rebecca & her bridesmaid squad had everything completely planned & under control. The styling of the day was done to perfection too, with the Bridesmaids dresses matching the decor of their house – Rebecca had clearly put the thought in – ultra chic!
After their ceremony, they wandered down through the narrows, lanes with some impressively large balloons to dance the night away at The Coach House – another brilliant venue – with impressively organised & brilliantly helpful staff!
They danced their way through the afternoon to the very cool Jorge’s Hot Club, before some of the funniest & most emotional speeches I’ve heard in a while! – Paul is hilarious.
Before the sun faded for the night we had the opportunity to run down to the beach to get a few couple photos, then headed back to the Coach House, for their first dance, which started with Hulk Hogans theme tune, which both confused & entertained everyone in the room – but it was brilliant, (kudos to their DJ – Eddie The Goatboy.) before settling down into the much more traditional Wonderful World by Sam Cooke.
