The smell of Eucalyptus and the sound of laughter filled the air for Kate & Chris’s beautifully sophisticated Outdoor ceremony at Bury Court, I always love to get back to Bury Court for weddings – I photographed my first wedding there about 8 years ago and have been there many, many times since, and its always a lovely place for a wedding, especially on days like these when the sun was beaming down – it made for the perfect opportunity to use Bury courts new outdoor ceremony space – a wonderful structure they’ve recently built at the bottom of the garden, as if this brilliant venue could get any better!

Kate and Chris are two wonderful souls, I first them earlier in the year for their engagement session and they were such a smiley, happy couple and were so clearly in love it made it for a great engagement session – So I knew their wedding was always going to be fun – whatever the great English weather decided to do! As chance would have it, it was one of the hottest days of the year, so everyone had an amazing time outside and in the gardens, before relaxing into the evening as the sun slowly set.

Chris is a very talented guitarist and made everyone feel some big emotions during Kate’s walk down the aisle, as he’d recorded a version of (the almighty) Ed Sheeran’s Tenerife Sea – It was so good and so perfectly timed, I’m not sure you’d be able to tell it apart from the real thing!

They brought along over a hundred and twenty of their family and friends to celebrate with them and the love for Kate and Chris was clearly on display, even during the obligatory embarrassing best mans speech – complete with slideshow – but it really highlighted what a close bunch of friends they all are!

Big congratulations to Kate & Chris, and thank you for having us along to capture your story! (We made a film of their day too!)
