East Meon Wedding – Katy & James

Katy and James’ East Meon wedding was an absolute corker! Scorching hot weather, a fabulous couple, mega friendly guests, a beautiful location and tons of gorgeous details.

Katy and James wanted dual coverage so they booked both Heather and I for their big day. When we checked the weather reports the day before and saw the possibility of heavy thunder storms/sun we decided to pack welly boots (luckily we didn’t need the wellies!) and sun tan lotion before heading off to East Meon in Hampshire to meet up with Katy and her bridal party who were getting ready at the local B&B.

Nymans Wedding – Leah & Adam

Here’s a bit of midsummer gorgeousness for you in the form of Leah & Adam’s relaxed Nymans wedding.

Leah and Adam are one cool couple, so it goes without saying that they had a wedding to match, full to bursting with totally awesome details!

The wedding ceremony took place at Nyman’s Gardens and Leah and her family were staying at a cottage nearby the night before, so I met up with them there for the bridal preparations. It was also great to see Jeni Dodson, whose wedding I shot last year, doing Leah’s hair and makeup.

I spent a bit of time with Leah before heading over to Nyman’s to meet up with Adam and the rest of the wedding guests. And I was just in time to catch Adam having a final bit of guitar practice ready to play as Leah walked up the aisle to the Loggia. You don’t get more romantic than that!

After the ceremony guests were treated to a picnic lunch on the lawns of Nymans so I took the chance to steal Leah and Adam away for a few portraits in Nyman’s grounds.

Later on in the day we all headed off to nearby Copsale Hall for an outdoor wedding reception, catered by Brighton supper club hostess Cantina. The food was INCREDIBLE! As for details, woah, there were homemade cakes, outdoor games, (including pig throwing!) meadow flowers in jam jars, and all the menus and labels were designed by groom Adam, who is a designer by day.

This was such a great wedding to shoot, fantastic people, a mega creative couple, glorious weather and details a plenty!

Leah and Adam, I hope you had a fantastic time on your camper van honeymoon travels! x

Eaves Hall Wedding Photography – Melanie & Richard

Team Faz went off on a mega road trip for Richard and Mel’s wedding, and we loaded up the car with travel sweets for our 5 hour journey from Brighton to the beautiful village of Clitheroe in Lancashire (we don’t usually need an excuse for Haribo Sours). A big thanks to The Lawsons for recommending us for this one!

We always do a weather check before a wedding, but hearing the words ‘Biblical storms’ was enough to almost make us weep into our camera bags. Did it rain on the day, erm, yes. Did Richard and Mel give two hoots? As you’ll see from the photos, not in the slightest!

We started the day with Melanie and the girls for the bridal preparations at the Gatehouse of Eaves Hall, and we were both greeted with hugs from the lovely Mel.  In fact Mel has to be one of the most serene brides we’ve met in a long while!

This was such a lovely wedding with so many personal touches: Mel was given away at the church by her Mum and her sister gave one of the speeches during the meal.  And in a bit of a break from tradition Richard took the lead in the wedding organisation and his aunt and uncle designed the gorgeous, orders of service, menus and table plans.

We also mustn’t forget to give a mention to the Eaves Hall events manager, Barry, who was an absolute delight to work with – we’ve never been so well-fed at a wedding before and we even got dessert! Air punch!

A truly fab wedding – Mel and Richard didn’t stop smiling all day – just goes to show you don’t need sunshine to have an absolutely perfect day, although we suspect their honeymoon in Australia more than made up for all the rain!

Bury Court Wedding – Julia & Anuar

After some truly awful May weather the sun decided to make a welcome appearance for Julia and Anuar’s wedding at Bury Court, a stunning barn wedding venue in Surrey – And boy was it a beautiful day! I’ve photographed many a wedding in Surrey, being based so close & it’s always a great place to shoot!

Although I’d not met Julia and Anuar before the wedding I had spoken to them on the phone and knew how warm and friendly they both were so I was mega excited about shooting their wedding!

The couple really wanted dual coverage of their wedding so I had Heather shooting with me for the day – it’s always lovely to capture both the groom and the brides morning prep! And at Bury Court the ceremony and reception all take place in the grounds of the venue so Heather and I were able to easily dart about from morning prep to ceremony and then reception without missing any of the action.
