EXPERIENCE

I’ve photographed over 500 weddings, and what matters most to me is how the day feels while it’s happening. My couples are those that want to be present – spending time with the people they love and letting things unfold naturally.

Hi, I’m Simon Fazackarley.

I photograph weddings across Sussex and the UK, working in a documentary way that’s calm, considered, and centred on people rather than performance.

I’ve photographed over 500 weddings, and what matters most to me isn’t how a day looks, but how it feels while it’s happening. Most of the couples I work aren’t about being the centre of attention, more about spending proper time with the people they love.

My role is to document that honestly, without turning the day into a production.

I work in an unobtrusive way, but I’m not passive. I pay attention, anticipate moments, and step in when it’s genuinely helpful, then give space when it’s not. That might mean quietly observing from the edges, or helping things feel calmer when plans shift and energy changes.

The aim is always the same: to let the day unfold naturally, and to capture it as it actually happened.

My work is primarily photographic. Occasionally, when it genuinely suits the day, I also work with video to preserve movement, sound, and atmosphere, always with the same documentary approach, and always without staging or repetition.

If my work and approach feels like a good fit, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
