Ashdown Park Hotel Weddings – Oran & Sofiane

Late last year I photographed Oran & Sofiane’s beautiful wedding at Ashdown Park Hotel –  a stunning hotel near the Ashdown Forest, a favourite spot of mine! With so many wedding venues across East Grinstead – these guys certainly picked an amazing one!

Oran & Sofiane are some of the most charming people you could meet & they surrounded themselves with equally welcoming & charming people. Having spoken to them via Email & Skype before their wedding, I knew they were going to have a stylish, sophisticated & elegant day – they did not disappoint! I can’t think of a more beautiful or fitting backdrop for their day than Ashdown Park, in the old, converted Chapel – a stunning building, with beautiful stained glass windows.

Everyone was getting ready at the hotel (albeit, what seemed like a mile apart!), so I had the chance to cover both sides of their preparations (with a little help from a chauffeured golf cart), before heading into the wonderful old chapel for one of the most emotional ceremonies I’ve seen in a long time, with lots of lovely readings from friends & family, & some beautiful harp music.

As seemed to be the case for many weddings last year, The rain didn’t stay away for long – but the key parts stayed dry & even when it was raining, it certainly didn’t stop anyone from having a great time inside the magnificent hall – eating lots of delicious food, knocking back shots at the bar & dancing the night away to a great swing band!

Thank you to Oran & Sofiane for having me along to photograph your special day, & for everyone else for making me feel so welcome!

Also, thanks to all the folks that made the day run so well –
