Bignor Park Wedding – Samantha and Simon

Samantha and Simon weren’t blessed with sunshine for their wedding day but as you’ll see, a bit of rain wasn’t going to dampen the mood in the slightest.

Bignor Park is a family-run Manor House in Pulborough and what makes it a bit different from a lot of wedding venues is that they host very few weddings each year and only take on one wedding per weekend. So if you do choose Bignor for your special day the focus will be only on your wedding.

Outdoor ceremonies have an intimate vibe and take place in the beautiful walled gardens with it’s rose-trimmed logia – there’s also a place for a marquee to be put up, offering covering for guests on rainy days or a bit more space if you are planning to host a larger party.

On Samantha and Simon’s wedding day the heavens decided to open just as Sam was about to make her way up the aisle, but she totally took it in her stride, armed herself with an umbrella and laughed off the rain!

Once the rain had died down, Sam and Simon were really keen to get out into the gardens for some photos of just the two of them, so after the ceremony we left the guests enjoying drinks and nibbles while we headed off to explore the grounds. One of the selling points of Bignor are the beautifully tended gardens, with views across the South Downs. There’s also a really beautiful greenhouse which provided a bit of shelter and a chance for some lovely couple photos.

Simon and Sam’s reception was held in the stunning covered courtyard – it suited the day perfectly because of the threat of more rain but it also meant that everyone could still be outside enjoying the gardens and fresh air.

This was such a lovely day and Sam and Simon really took everything in their stride -they certainly didn’t let a bit of rain spoil all their wedding day fun!
