Louise & Craig got married earlier in the year, at the fantastic Barn at Bury Court in Surrey, it’s a venue I’ve had the privilege of working at many times before – I believe my first wedding there was about 2009! Time flies!
Bury Court Barn is an impressive wedding venue – filled with wow factor and with the most wonderful gardens in Bentley, Surrey. It really lends itself to big, fun summer weddings and with the ability to seamlessly transition from the magnificent indoor spaces to the gorgeous outdoor spaces – it really adds a relaxed vibe to any wedding day, and when the sun is shining the terraces transform into the most magical, relaxing space.
Louise and Craig knew this and they had planned just that!
They told me ahead of their wedding about their vision and what they wanted from their wedding photographs – they wanted to share a perfect summers day with all of their friends and family and just have a lovely time enjoying delicious food and drink, having a big party, celebrating with everyone they know.
As always, Bury Court Barn looked absolutely beautiful and the gardens were in full bloom, Louise had really made the venue her own with a lovely summery colour pallet and lots of lovely hand made pom poms hanging from the vaulted ceiling.
This attention to detail, coupled with the fact that Louise & Craig really know how to throw an amazing party, made for a very lively day – it helped that all the groomsmen and ushers were all up for a great laugh – and many of the guests work with Craig in the fire service – a more lively bunch of party animals you will seldom meet.
I started with Louise & her many bridesmaids at The Bush Hotel in nearby Farnham, a perfect spot to get ready as its reasonably close to Bury Court Barn, and allows for a really good sized wedding party – along with multiple makeup artists, hairstylists to get ready for a special day, in comfort. Louise was clearly nervous/excited – but her bridesmaids and mum really kept the atmosphere light and fun, stopping any nerves from taking over.
After the preparations, everything took place at Bury Court and everyone really embraced the indoor/outdoor vibe of the day and had the most wonderful time until the late hours on the terraces enjoying Hog Roast, champagne and music, as the sun slowly fell beneath the surrey hills.
Thank you L+C, so much, for having me along to document your beautiful day!
