Silchester Farm is a wedding venue in Hampshire, one that we hadn’t had the pleasure of working at before. It provided the most fantastic setting for Hannah & Sam to get married & celebrate with their friends and family.
What an amazing place, so perfectly set up for weddings with multiple barns and the beautiful gardens provided lots of options for photos!
Hannah & Sam’s was a beautiful day to be a part of, massively relaxed and full of fun characters – exactly what you want from a wedding! From the getting ready in the morning through to the dancing in the evening – everyone had the best time and it made for a great story.
Congratulations Hannah & Sam!
Silchester Farm Wedding Venue
Silchester Farm Weddings are brilliant – Set against the gorgeous Hampshire countryside, it’s a big wedding venue that can accommodate in the region of 140 guests – but still retains that intimate feel that’s oh so important for a wedding.
Silchester Farm is set in in such a thoughtful way that the day flows spectacularly. From the getting ready in the morning in the wonderful little house, through to the Hampshire Threshing Barn where Hannah and Sam exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends.
After this they spread out onto the gardens for drinks and a few photos at the Dutch Barn – what a beautiful space with the most incredible soft light, utterly ideal for a few relaxed group photos or even some couple photos on days when the weather is less than ideal.
The meal and evenings entertainment led them into the wonderfully designed Hen House – with amazing lighting hanging from the ceiling and some fabulously rustic tables and decorations, setting the scene for a celebration to remember!
Hannah & Sam invited me to be a part of their day as it was important to them to find a really relaxed wedding photographer – someone that would fit in with their guests and keep the day running smoothly all the while building a story around all the small moments – the bits they saw, and the bits they didn’t.
They were so easy to work with and so welcoming – it really did feel like I was just another guest, albeit one with a couple of cameras. They were really up for photos too – which I love, whilst 90% of the day is very much documentary in it’s approach – I do love to get couples out for a few moments to grab some stunning portraits and Hannah and Sam were happy to oblige! We even snuck out later in the evening for a few photos behind The Hen House as the last of the days light faded.
