Indian Wedding Photographer – Sarang & Claudia

Wow, I don’t have the words for the second day of Claudia & Sarang’s wedding spectacular.

Part one was at the Pavilion, it was beautiful, intimate, fun &  emotional.

Part two turned it right the way up to 11. Full of colour, music and dance.

This was my first Indian wedding – Over the past 12 years, I’ve been invited along to some British ceremonies with Hindu elements & various other cultures incorporated into more traditional British days – but this was a full on Hindu wedding, with all the ceremonies & traditions – & it was amazing. Packed full of colour, emotion, music & incredible food.

Indian weddings are different to British weddings – where British weddings put the majority of focus on the Bride, Indian weddings place additional focus on the groom – this was particularly exciting for Sarang – from his arrival to the sound of drums, surrounded by dancing relatives to the floral tributes and gifts – his arrival was spectacular!

I started the morning with Sarang for his preparations & ceremonies, before heading over to Bhasvic for their wedding ceremony.

Bhasvic is, during the week, a school, so to see its hall transformed  into the most beautiful ceremony space was wonderful – akin to walking into a temple, with everything decorated beautifully and the Mandap standing proudly in the centre, it was intensely colourful and full of spiritual significance.

I was particularly touched by the family involvement throughout the ceremony, from parents providing blessings to relatives making offerings and throwing flower petals – everyone was involved and included, it was beautiful to witness and photograph.

Following the ceremony, we popped down to Brighton seafront for some photos in the most beautiful winter light, before back to Sarang’s house for a welcoming ceremony – It was particularly beautiful to witness Sarangs mother welcoming them both into the new family home and provided blessings for their future life.

After the ceremonies were complete, it was back to Bhasvic which had been reorganised and redecorated ready for an evening of incredible food & some of the liveliest dancing I’ve ever seen.

To Claudia & Sarang – Thank You for having me, you were amazing & your day was incredible to be a part of! – Thank You also to your friends & family for making me feel so welcome & for allowing me to be a part of the day – you guys know how to throw a party!
