Isle of Wight Wedding Photographer

We’re Simon + Heather. We’re relaxed, Isle of Wight wedding photographers and videographers.

We provide wedding photography and videography throughout the UK and internationally. We’re also proud to say we’ve been named one of the best wedding photographers and videographers in England, by The Wedding Industry Awards.

You can have us for wedding photography, wedding videography or both.

Based a stone’s throw away, along the coast in Brighton, and all of our packages include travel to the Isle of Wight, as well as surrounding counties such as Hampshire. The Isle of Wight is such a beautiful location for weddings & have had the pleasure of being hired to photograph lots of weddings both on the Isle of Wight & throughout Hampshire.

ABOUT US

We’re a Hampshire wedding photographer and filmmaker duo based on the South Coast and we work all over Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and across the UK. Our photography style is unfussy and laid back, with a focus on capturing your wedding in a relaxed way, filled with joy and laughter. Telling the story of your wedding through all the little details; the emotions and the fun. It’s not about staging moments or standing in a line saying cheese. It’s about capturing the people, feelings, genuine moments and beautiful memories.

It’s about telling your story beautifully.

Wherever the venue and regardless of the weather, it’s all about capturing the magic as it happens, and documenting it in a truly beautiful, emotional and sympathetic way. Balancing that with incredible details and stunning, creative portraits.

FAQS

We only take one wedding per weekend & popular dates get booked up to 2 years in advance, so if you like what you see and want us to be a part of your day you can get in touch with us here.

400-600 for a full day’s wedding photography. However, there are no strict limits, so if it takes 700+ pictures to tell your story, that’s how many you’ll receive.

40-60 for an engagement shoot.

All the edited photos are provided ‘ready to print’ — and we encourage you to do so, photos are meant to be printed and enjoyed!

Absolutely! Whilst we predominantly work in a documentary style for the majority of the day we know that having a few group photographs is often really important to you and your family. So we’ll work with you to make sure everyone is happy and you get the all the photos you want.

We find that keeping group photos to 8-10 groups allows us to work efficiently without taking too much time away from your day. We usually do these during the drinks reception when everyone is a bit more relaxed and we keep things light and informal.

For more information, there’s a little guide here: Group Photographs.

We’ve had the privilege of providing wedding photography at many venues all across Hampshire and the New Forest & they’re all great for different styles of weddings. We’ve put together a few of our favourite venues from the South of England here: Wedding Venues in the South of England

I’m a relaxed, documentary wedding photographer & I photograph the emotions of weddings, all from the perspective of a guest – I blend in with your guests, and aim to be effectively a guest with a camera, Albeit a fancy camera and the permission to be at the front of the room during the ceremony!

Using this relaxed style, I tell stories through photos, the story of your love, and the your wedding day – through little details; beautiful moments, smiles & laughter. Balancing this documentary approach with beautiful photos ensures you have an amazing day and also get with beautiful wedding photographs to treasure, show your family and friends, and for future generations to look back on!

I always love to photograph weddings on the Isle of Wight, & always enjoy exploring the Island, it’s such an incredible place – remote, yet connected & filled with such a beautiful array of scenery – and beautiful backdrops for photos. Being a seaside lad I love to be close to the sea, away from the hustle and bustle of cities like Brighton and London, So the Isle of Wight is right up my street. Not to mention the fact, that everywhere you look you’ll find something beautiful – something I always use to draw inspiration for my wedding photography.

Whether you’re planning a beach wedding, or something in a country house – you can be sure my relaxed, documentary approach will fit right in and you’ll have an amazing day – without having to stand in line for photographs or say cheese. Unless you’re planning an cheese buffet or work as a cheesemonger, in which case go nuts and say it as much as you like.

I’m based in Brighton, and photograph weddings all across the country, from as far north locations like Yorkshire and Scotland, to Somerset and offshore locations, like the gorgeous Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man! So, if you’re planning a wedding on the Isle of Wight,  and looking for an Isle of Wight Wedding Photographer or, indeed anywhere in the UK – and like the sound of my work, please get in touch!

The Isle of Wight has some fabulous wedding venues, venues that really encapsulate the location – from getting married atop of cliffs overlooking the sea, to quirky hotels – to grand country houses, there’s something for every taste.

From Haven Hall, the gorgeous country house with its cliff top gardens, overlooking the sea, to Osbourne House – a truly impressive wedding venue which has an amazing history – it’s the family home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, so getting married there puts you in the footsteps of countless royals and dignitaries – how many wedding venues can make that claim! There’s also the wonderful Royal Hotel, one of the oldest hotels on the island – perfectly suited to classical, romnatic weddings. If you’re a foody (and we most certainly are!!) the Royal Hotel is of particular interest, as it’s been a mainstay of the Michelin guide since the very first edition in 1911.

If you’re after a country garden wedding, consider Landguard Manor – it has more than four acres of stunning gardens and makes it the ideal spot to celebrate a wedding with a glass of Pimms in the summer sun!
