Here’s a wedding I’d been looking forward to for such a long time!! – Amy & Matt’s gorgeous wedding at Rhinefield House! Regular readers will remember them from their engagement – you know the one.. the utterly gorgeous one…
Amy & Matt booked me around 18 months before their big day, so I had a great chance to get to know them & when the day finally arrived I was so excited/proud/pleased/glad to be a part of it! Thanks for including me guys =)
Anyway, I had a really hard time picking which images to share – as I love every last one of them!
I had the wickedly talented & ultra lovely Carrie Bugg shooting with me for this wedding – Thanks Carrie, you’re a star!

The bridal preps were a little different to my usual ones, as Amy had all her hair & make-up done long before she got to Rhinefield (probably whilst I was still in bed in Brighton…!) So the key action was ‘dress-getting-on-i-ness’ with a side of ‘shoe-getting-on-i-ness’…

Everyone lent a hand with getting the dress on…

Amy wanted to do this shot, as I gather its one of the crowd pleasers at Rhinefield – Must say, I think its very cool!

But I also wanted to do my own variation…

Now, anyone that has photographed a wedding at Rhinefield House will know its DARK – seriously, darkest venue I’ve ever worked in!! But when I caught a glimpse of the gorgeous bathroom in the bridal suite & saw how beautifully bright it was… I knew what needed to be done…

After all the gorgeous flare in their engagement session – it would have been wrong not to grab some during their wedding!!

Another crowd pleasing Rhinefield location… the blue gates to nowhere…

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on my off camera flash skills… think I’m getting better! -

Love it.
Wow what a fab job you’ve done Simon – it was so much fun working with you – the photos are amazing! It’s great to see my photos processed in your style too! Very cool. Thanks to Amy and Matt for such a great day!
Wow, just absolutely gorgeous Simon! Beautiful couple and it looks like they had such a fun day. And how cute are the little bridesmaids helping the bride put her shoes on..
Brilliant. The look on Matt’s face as Amy arrives at his side during the ceremony is priceless. I love the subtle juxtaposition of the two images there. Marvellous story-telling.
Rhinefield IS crazy dark but you and Carrie totally walked it. Loving the flare in that cinematic First Dance shot and gorgeous shots around the grounds. Beautiful shot of Amy on her own looking up – the eyes say it all!
Can you just stop taking such awesome pictures now, you’re showing the rest of us up.
Aisling just ordered me over to have a look at the bathroom shots. They are unspeakably beautiful. As are the rest. You are a genius!
Simply stunning work! I love love one of the pageboy next to the cake.
