We’ve been a part of over 400 weddings since 2005 and The Wedding Industry Awards named us as one of the best wedding photographers and videographers in the UK.

But as nice as they are, we don’t do this for awards, we do this because we genuinely adore being a part of the stories of people in love and capturing the magic of wedding days.

We travel across the UK, including Bath, Bristol, Wells and the surrounding areas. We’re proud to have been named amongst the best wedding photographers in England by the wedding industry awards. We’re based on the south coast of England, and all of our packages include travel throughout England. We’re also more than happy to travel internationally. Bath is is such a beautiful location for weddings – We’ve had the pleasure of being hired to photograph lots of weddings around Bath and Bristol over the years and it’s a place we’d love to live one day.

There are few cities – from an architectural stand point, that compare to Bath. The city became a World Heritage Site in 1987, because of its architectural significance and the way in which the city landscape is formed, with its famous 18th century Georgian buildings and golden-coloured, Bath Stone and the Roman Baths upon which its takes its name.  Being so close to the cultural hub of Bristol, Bath is also a draw for creatives, and as such there’s an increasing array of independent shops, markets and contemporary bars and restaurants. And of course the famous Bath Spa provides wedding couples with a unique opportunity to really unwind and relax with a spa treatment or massage before their big day.

Bath is the perfect combination of city and country and a treat for a wedding photographer to capture. We’re often there as Bath wedding photographers, hired by couples planning their wedding in Bath or Bristol, and it’s a wonderful place for engagement sessions too!

Relaxed wedding photography

We’re relaxed, documentary wedding photographers with over 14 years experience, having photographed more than 400 weddings across the country.  We’re massively relaxed in our approach – We’re not ones to bring stress! We photograph the emotions of weddings, all from the perspective of a guest – blending in with your family and friends, aiming to be effectively a guest with a camera, Albeit a fancy camera and the permission to be at the front of the room during the ceremony!

We tell stories through photos, In a laid back, unfussy way – capturing the story of your love, and your wedding day – through details you’ve no doubt agonized over; beautiful moments that will bring tears to your eyes – as well as tons of smiles & all the laughter. We also like to balance this documentary approach with some more structured, yet completely fun and relaxed portraits – ensuring you have an amazing day and also get beautiful wedding photographs to treasure, show your family and friends, and for future generations to look back on!

We capture your wedding in a relaxed way, filled with joy and laughter. Telling your story through all the little details; the emotions and the fun. It’s not about staging moments or standing in a line saying cheese. It’s about capturing the people, feelings, genuine moments and beautiful memories. It’s about telling your story beautifully.

Our Style

Our style is really informal and we photograph and film your day as it happens, without taking you away from your guests for hours and hours to pose for photos. We know how much work goes into planning a wedding and we certainly don’t want you to miss your own party!
We love making portraits, but we fit them in when they make sense to the day, not when your granny wants to give you a hug or you want to catch up with school friends you’ve not seen for years.

We always love to photograph weddings in Bath, & always enjoy exploring the area, it’s such a great place, with such a wonderful atmosphere –  filled with some of the most incredible architecture we’ve ever seen – which makes for truly beautiful backdrops for photos.

Born and raised in Brighton, we’ve grown up around a wonderful blend of City and Countryside and our style has evolved to make full use of this – from the hard lines and shadows of a city, to the soft relaxed and mellow vibe of the countryside – away from the hustle and bustle – We love to bring this to Bath Weddings.

So whether you’ve planned to marry right in the middle of the city or somewhere a little more rural, your wedding will work perfectly with my relaxed documentary approach. Not to mention the fact, that everywhere you look around Bath and Somerset – you’ll find something beautiful –  Regardless of where you’re getting married, we always draw the inspiration for our wedding photography from the people and places that matter the most to you.

By hiring us for both photo and video, you both cut the down the hassle of having separate suppliers – plus we work together seamlessly – further reducing the wedding day stress.

FAQs

We only take one wedding per weekend & popular dates get booked up to 2 years in advance, so if you like what you see and want us to be a part of your day you can get in touch with us here.

400-600 for a full day’s wedding photography. However, there are no strict limits, so if it takes 700+ pictures to tell your story, that’s how many you’ll receive.

40-60 for an engagement shoot.

All the edited photos are provided ‘ready to print’ — and we encourage you to do so, photos are meant to be printed and enjoyed!

Absolutely! Whilst we predominantly work in a documentary style for the majority of the day we know that having a few group photographs is often really important to you and your family. So we’ll work with you to make sure everyone is happy and you get the all the photos you want.

We find that keeping group photos to 8-10 groups allows us to work efficiently without taking too much time away from your day. We usually do these during the drinks reception when everyone is a bit more relaxed and we keep things light and informal.

We’ve had the privilege of providing wedding photography at many venues all across Bath, Somerset and Hampshire and the New Forest & they’re all great for different styles of weddings. We travel anywhere for a good a story! We’re based in Brighton, and photograph weddings all across the country, from as far north locations like Yorkshire and Scotland, to Somerset, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, The Cotswolds and the gorgeous Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man! So, if you’re planning a wedding in Bath, and looking for a Bath Wedding Photographer or, indeed anywhere in the UK – and like the sound of our work, please get in touch!

Whilst many of our commissions are within Brighton and Sussex, We cover weddings all across the UK and Internationally. We particularly love weddings in Bath and Bristol!

Recent UK wedding destinations have including the Lake District, the Peak District, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Wales, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall – plus all points in between.

International travel and destination weddings are also welcome – please ask for details.

what you see and want us to be a part of your day, secure your date soon.

Securing the date is easy –

You’ll just need to complete a booking form and pay the £500 booking fee and that’s it, your date will be secure.

The booking fee is applied towards whichever wedding photography package you choose, with the remaining balance due four weeks before your wedding.

Bank transfers and credit/debit cards through Paypal.

Absolutely! Whilst we predominantly work in a documentary style – group photographs are an important and fun part of the day. If you keep to 8-10 groups it allows us to do them quickly and efficiently, without taking too much time away from your drinks reception.

Yes! Simon is the primary photographer and Heather acts as associate photographer at larger weddings or where dual coverage is required. She also takes the lead on our stunning wedding films. Our styles and working dynamic compliment each other perfectly and for a small additional cost we can offer wedding photography packages including both of us.

Bath has some fabulous wedding venues, venues that really represent the area perfectly – from getting married right in the center of the city surrounded by its incredible architecture, to quirky hotels and to grand country houses, there’s something for every taste.

From a ceremony at the Roman Baths and Pump Room – getting married surrounded by such a wealth of history is truly special! Imagine yourselves exchanging your vows on the 2,000-year-old paving that surrounds the Great Bath. The steam from the hot baths will certainly lend an extra air of intrigue and excitement to the proceedings!  To a reception at the elegant Pump Room – your day will look incredible, and your photographs will too!

Alternatively, if you’re looking for a truly grand city venue – there’s the Assembly Rooms – Winner of the best city wedding award a few years back, you know you’re in good hands there. Within the grand rooms you get a real sense all the amazing parties and functions that would have been held here during the 18th century. Not to mention the many movies that have been filmed here – including The Duchess with Kiera Knightley. Beyond the obvious choices, there are also tons of other wedding venues in Bath and the surrounding area – such as Royal Victoria Park, Bailbrook House Hotel, Wick Farm, Priston Mill, Temple of Minerva, Monkton Combe School, Limpley Stoke Hotel, Hamswell House, Leigh Park, Orchardleigh House and Arnos Vale.

We’ve had the privilege of photographing weddings at many venuesall across the country & they’re all great for different styles of weddings, I’ve put together a few of our favourite venues from the South of England here: Wedding Venues in the South of England

We’ve photographed hundreds of weddings over the past 14 years and have had the pleasure of documenting a variety of Asian Weddings, Jewish weddings, Indian weddings, Greek Weddings, as well as many Catholic & CoE Weddings. We always thoroughly research ceremonies of cultures and religions that we haven’t experienced before, to ensure everything runs smoothly and we know exactly what to expect.

The majority of photos are produced with Canon 5d mkIV, Canon 5d mkIII and lenses such as 24mm f1.4L II, 35mm f1.4L, 45mm f2.8 TS-E, 50mm f1.2L, 85mm f1.2L, 135mm f2.0L, 70-200mm f2.8L IS.

Also Canon 580EXII flashes, flash triggers, a few handheld video lights, prisms, handheld optical lenses & a lot of other things to unleash creativity.

Multiple backup cameras and lenses come to every wedding — so should anything happen to the main gear, your coverage won’t be affected.

Heather creates videos using much of the same equipment, as well as a variety of microphones and lighting solutions.
