love stories

in photo & film

Our honest and emotional, documentary approach is about celebrating the joy, warmth & uniqueness of your story from beginning to end.

We produce luscious, warm photography and honest, emotional videography – evoking all the feelings of happiness and love from your wedding day.

Hello! We’re London Wedding Photographers.

We’re Simon and Heather, and we’ve been photographing weddings in London and across the UK for over 14 years. We love what we do, we love photography and are proud to say other people do to – as we’ve been named as one of the best wedding photographers in England by The Wedding Industry Awards.

We’re relaxed, documentary wedding photographers, working in a relaxed way to capture the atmosphere of your wedding, telling the story of your wedding day through little details; beautiful moments, smiles & laughter.

We don’t stage moments or boss people around, we’re laid back and want to focus on capturing the fun you’ll actually have – not mocking up some fake fun because it looks good in the photos.

We grew up in Brighton (Simon) & Surrey (Heather), and as London is just an hour away on the train, we do a lot of weddings in London. Weddings & events have also helped to show us undiscovered sides of the Capital – from the ultra cool Asylum, The House of Lords & The Houses of Parliament, The Crypt on The Green beneath the beautiful St James Church, the Ecology Pavilion in Mile End, Stoke Newington Town Hall, Hampton Court PalaceHampton Court House & the gorgeous Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park.

We’ve also had the opportunity to do lots of engagement sessions around Belgravia, Battersea, Brixton, Greenwich, Shoreditch & South Bank – always interesting places to wander around!

Documentary Wedding Photographer

Documentary wedding photography is all about capturing the real moments and emotions of your big day. It’s not about posed shots or fancy backdrops, but rather about capturing the raw, authentic feel of your wedding as it unfolds. It’s all about the real emotions, the laughter, the tears, and the crazy dance moves! With a documentary photographer, you’ll get a true-to-life representation of your wedding day that you can look back on and relive for years to come. Basically, it’s about telling the story of your day through pictures, in a natural and unfiltered way. We’re biased – but it’s the best kind of wedding photography.

We only take one wedding per weekend & popular dates get booked up to 2 years in advance, so if you like what you see and want us to be a part of your day you can get in touch with us here.

400-600 for a full day’s wedding photography. However, there are no strict limits, so if it takes 700+ pictures to tell your story, that’s how many you’ll receive.

40-60 for an engagement shoot.

All the edited photos are provided ‘ready to print’ — and we encourage you to do so, photos are meant to be printed and enjoyed!

Absolutely! Whilst we predominantly work in a documentary style for the majority of the day we know that having a few group photographs is often really important to you and your family. So we’ll work with you to make sure everyone is happy and you get the all the photos you want.

We find that keeping group photos to 8-10 groups allows us to work efficiently without taking too much time away from your day. We usually do these during the drinks reception when everyone is a bit more relaxed and we keep things light and informal.

Yes! Simon is the primary photographer and Heather acts as associate photographer at larger weddings or where dual coverage is required. It’s great to be able to have photography in two places at one. She also takes the lead on our stunning wedding films. Our styles and working dynamic compliment each other perfectly and for a small additional cost we can offer wedding photography packages including both of us.

We’ve photographed hundreds of weddings over the past 14 years and have had the pleasure of providing photography at a variety of Asian Weddings, Jewish weddings, Indian weddings, Greek Weddings, as well as many Catholic & CoE Weddings. We always thoroughly research ceremonies of cultures and religions that we haven’t experienced before, to ensure everything runs smoothly and we know exactly what to expect.

The majority of photos are produced with Canon 5d mkIV, Canon 5d mkIII and lenses such as 24mm f1.4L II, 35mm f1.4L, 45mm f2.8 TS-E, 50mm f1.2L, 85mm f1.2L, 135mm f2.0L, 70-200mm f2.8L IS.

Also Canon 580EXII flashes, flash triggers, a few handheld video lights, prisms, handheld optical lenses & a lot of other things to unleash creativity.

Multiple backup cameras and lenses come to every wedding — so should anything happen to the main gear, your coverage won’t be affected.

Heather creates videos using much of the same equipment, as well as a variety of microphones and lighting solutions.
