Documentary Wedding Videographer London

We have a relaxed approach to filming weddings and film your day as it happens, using discreet equipment and blending in with your family and friends. All our films are shot from the perspective of a wedding photographer, with the same creativity and poignancy, but with the added bonus of sound and movement.

Depending on the structure of your day, we usually start with 2-3 hours before your ceremony to capture the preparations – usually a really special time full of nerves, excitement and lovely shared moments with your family and friends. After this, we follow the day as it naturally unfolds from the magic of your wedding ceremony to all the celebrations you’ve planned to take place afterwards. Your wedding speeches will be a key part of your wedding film as your friends and family will help tell the story of your special day (have a peek at some of our previous films here to see what we mean!). Some videographers and photographers leave as soon as the first dance has finished but we like to stay around until the band is in full swing and the dance floor has come alive.

So, what’s so special about London?

London is a special place and a city with so much to offer – from its history to its landmarks and tons of high end wedding venues.

You can talk London without it’s biggest defining feature – the River Thames. This beautiful river runs right through the heart of the city and has played a huge role in London’s history. You can’t miss Tower Bridge, the London Eye or The Shard – dominating the skyline – when you’re near the Thames. They’re major landmarks and must-sees when you’re in London.

London also has some amazing parks! Hyde Park, Regent’s Park, St. James’s Park, Richmond Park. They’re great places to relax, have a picnic, or have your wedding photos taken.

When it comes to history, London has plenty to offer. Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, and the British Museum are all must-sees if you’re interested in learning more about the city’s past. And let’s not forget Big Ben and London Bridge, which are both iconic landmarks in London and can serve as beautiful backdrops for your photos.

Planning a London Wedding?

Are you thinking about getting married in London?  As a London wedding videographer we can confirm it’s a great place, for sure – London has so much to offer for couples looking to tie the knot.

First of all, let’s talk about venues. London is home to some of the most beautiful and unique wedding venues in the world. Whether you’re looking for a grand, historic palace or a more modern, industrial space, London has it all. Some popular venues include the Tower of London, Kensington Palace, and the Barbican Centre.

But it’s not just the venues that make London a great place to get married – the city itself is also a great backdrop for your big day. From the iconic River Thames and the historic landmarks to the pretty parks and all the different boroughs, there are plenty of spots in London that make for stunning wedding photos. I particularly love wandering the streets of Chelsea & Belgravia with couples to get aspirational wedding portraits with all the gorgeous architecture.

And let’s not forget about the food! London is known for its diverse and delicious culinary scene, and there are plenty of amazing caterers and quirky options like food vans that will make sure your guests are well-fed and happy.

And if you’re worried about the weather, London is a great place to have a wedding all year round. Even if it’s raining on your big day, you can still have a beautiful day indoor and take advantage of the city’s many indoor photo opportunities.

We’re also hugely experienced in weddings from a variety of different cultures, from Asian Weddings to Indian Celebrations, Jewish Weddings and Greek. If you are unsure if we’ve covered a wedding like yours – just ask and we’ll be able to give our expert advice.

If you’re looking for a pair of experienced professional wedding videographers, or combined photography and videography coverage – do get in touch and we can discuss the best way to capture your day.

WEDDING FILMMAKER

We describe our films as honest, emotional stories. We specialise in telling a compelling stories that’s truly reflective of the events as they naturally occur – capturing the tears, the laughter and the joy – all while you have the best day.

Documentary Wedding Videography is very much about capturing the day as it happens. No one wants to be told what to do, where to stand or how they should feel – especially not on one of the most important days of their lives! We strongly believe the best wedding films come as a result of letting that all come naturally and that also makes for the best wedding day.

WEDDING CINEMATOGRAPHY

Striking the balance between documentary wedding videography and wedding cinematography is a delicate one. Making a film that’s romantic, sympathetic and emotional – while combining high production values is something we strive for contently. Cinematic wedding films rely on technology and filmmaking techniques that can often be invasive at a wedding whereas Documentary wedding films are more subtle, relaxed and are made alongside the day naturally occurring.

We love to work in a predominately documentary style, letting the day unfold while we effortlessly capture a beautiful film showing how everything looks and more importantly, how it all felt. But we do this in a way that also looks amazing, capturing that cinematic quality without making the day a ‘production’.
