They filled the day with so much laughter & fun – everyone had an amazing time & it made it so much fun to document. Tom also wins the award for most emotional speech (if there were such an award.) He did a video diary & documented the entire build up to the proposal and the wedding day, then played the video during his speech – I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!!
I don’t find myself in London & Surrey for a lot of weddings – whilst about 85% of my clients are London folks, most choose to get married in the country, Sussex for example. But London is one of my favourite places to shoot – so when Jada & Chino enquired about me photographing their wedding – I knew it would be great.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of traveling from Sussex up to Aylesbury, to photograph Lizzie & Duncan’s wedding.
I’d been looking forward to their wedding ever since skyping with Lizzie & hearing all about their plans – they wanted a wedding that was part garden party, part festival – all the things I love in a wedding! & with their talented, creative, bunch of friends providing lots of the entertainment, decoration & indeed food, I knew it was going to be a cracking day.
I’ve wanted to photograph a wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst, for quite some time now, it’s part pub, part hotel, part wedding venue & just such a cool place to be – So when Jess & David contacted me about their wedding, I was so excited! They had a beautiful Jewish Wedding at the Bell – they wanted to keep things ultra relaxed, and just have a lovely day with their friends and family in a quintessentially Sussex town, and I think they succeeded!
Sally & Bill are amongst some of the most vibrant & expressive people I’ve had the pleasure of photographing! They had a beautiful wedding in West Sussex – at Arundel Town Hall (We love town hall weddings!) & then onto Burpham Country House for an evening of celebrations.
Laura & James got married at Thornbridge Hall in the Peak District. It’s so special to travel long distances for weddings. Immersing yourself in the wedding for the entire weekend. Laura and James traveled roughly 4500 miles from Dubai. Where they live, to get married here surrounded by their family and friends.
We’re incredibly lucky that Britain has some of the most illustrious and breathtaking wedding venues in the world – Hampton Court Palace Weddings are right at the top of that list. If you like your weddings grand – you’re in the right place.
I met Kate & Chris for the first time a few weeks before their wedding, at their venue – the majestic Hampton Court Palace.
Kate works at Hampton Court and treated me to a wonderful tour around the palace & its stunning grounds, which allowed me to see all the parts she loved & to learn a little of the history behind the place.
To say her passion for the palace shone through was a complete understatement – Kate described to me, the feelings she had when she saw the palace as a little girl, how she knew it was the place would be a huge part of her life, and that she would eventually be married there.
Suzanne and Matt are originally from the UK but now live in Australia, and they planned their wedding over Christmas at Buxted Park, just outside of Uckfield in East Sussex, so that their friends and family could all join them for their special day.
I love Buxted Park Weddings, it’s a beautiful venue and I’ve had the privilege of shooting there quite a few times before. It was especially lovely to be there over the festive period with all the Christmas decorations up!
Here’s a selection of my fave pics from the day – good times!
I headed up to Esher for Holly & Nicks beautiful Surrey Wedding. At weddings, I always try and become a part of whatever group of people I’m working with. I love it when guests ask me how I know the bride & groom, and whether I was a friend of their’s before they booked me to capture their day!
Rarely does it come as easy as with Holly & Nick, & their guests – the friendliest, most welcoming bunch of people you could hope to meet! A fantastic combination of folks from the UK & Denmark – Brought together over a mutual love of Holly & Nico… & Real Ale.
When I arrived at Holly’s parents house the morning of her & Nicks wedding, the place was a hive of activity, everyone was contributing – from final checks to the marquee, to tapping barrels & labelling up the beer van, to assembling the buttonholes, to attaching balloons to lampposts! – everyone was involved & working hard to ensure the day went perfectly! But never too busy to offer me a cup of tea of make me feel welcome! (Thank you!)
It was obvious how much love there was for H&N & I was so pleased to be there to document it all! I love days with tons of character & personality – suffice to say, their day had pints of it! (keeping the real ale theme going!)
There are a ton of pictures, but anyone that makes it to the end will be rewarded with a rave & some amazing dancing!
