Victoria & Jon

Victoria & Jon got married at The Barn at Bury Court – I’ve had a pleasure of photographing quite a few Bury Court Weddings over the years, So I know what a gorgeous venue it is! & having shot their engagement in the new forest & getting to know them over the past year or so, it was a day I’d been looking forward to for ages! It was doubley exciting, as I’ve been working with Victoria on a few other projects this past year; & over business lunches (mmm burgers!) I’d heard stories about their families, so I felt like I knew everyone before the day even began – & putting faces to names was great fun!

Featuring special guest appearances from Carolanne Armstrong – lovely working with you again! A good makeup artist makes a wedding photographers job so much easier, from managing timings in the morning to keeping everyone calm, not to mentioning the whole beautification process – I can’t say enough good things about Carolanne!

Jess & Chris

Jess & Chris got married at the Rumbolds Barn, near Billinghurst in Sussex. It’s a Barn wedding venue with wonderful outside space and a lake.  They had a fantastic outdoor ceremony surrounded by their family and friends. Drinks reception around the lake and on the lawns. The bride arrived in a Rolls Royce (Chris designed the interior!). Beautiful hand-made details in the barn. This wedding had it all.

We’ve covered lots of weddings at other barn wedding venues – Sussex Barn, Bury Court, Fitzleroi, Pangdean etc. and they always make for great days, so we were very excited to get to Rumbolds and it certainly did did not disappoint! It’s a really lovely space with beautiful gardens & a fantastic lake.

Louise & Craig

Louise & Craig got married earlier in the year, at the fantastic Barn at Bury Court in Surrey, it’s a venue I’ve had the privilege of working at many times before – I believe my first wedding there was about 2009! Time flies!

Bury Court Barn is an impressive wedding venue – filled with wow factor and with the most wonderful gardens in Bentley, Surrey. It really lends itself to big, fun summer weddings and with the ability to seamlessly transition from the magnificent indoor spaces to the gorgeous outdoor spaces – it really adds a relaxed vibe to any wedding day, and when the sun is shining the terraces transform into the most magical, relaxing space.

Louise and Craig knew this and they had planned just that!

They told me ahead of their wedding about their vision and what they wanted from their wedding photographs –  they wanted to share a perfect summers day with all of their friends and family and just have a lovely time enjoying delicious food and drink, having a big party, celebrating with everyone they know.

As always, Bury Court Barn looked absolutely beautiful and the gardens were in full bloom, Louise had really made the venue her own with a lovely summery colour pallet and lots of lovely hand made pom poms hanging from the vaulted ceiling.

This attention to detail, coupled with the fact that Louise & Craig really know how to throw an amazing party, made for a very lively day – it helped that all the groomsmen and ushers were all up for a great laugh  – and many of the guests work with Craig in the fire service – a more lively bunch of party animals you will seldom meet.

I started with Louise & her many bridesmaids at The Bush Hotel in nearby Farnham, a perfect spot to get ready as its reasonably close to Bury Court Barn, and allows for a really good sized wedding party – along with multiple makeup artists, hairstylists to get ready for a special day, in comfort. Louise was clearly nervous/excited – but her bridesmaids and mum really kept the atmosphere light and fun, stopping any nerves from taking over.

After the preparations, everything took place at Bury Court and everyone really embraced the indoor/outdoor vibe of the day and had the most wonderful time until the late hours on the terraces enjoying Hog Roast, champagne and music, as the sun slowly fell beneath the surrey hills.

Thank you L+C, so much, for having me along to document your beautiful day!

Hannah & Tom

Hannah & Tom got married on an insanely sunny day last month at the stunning All Saints Chapel in Eastbourne, a beautiful new Sussex Wedding Venue.

They filled the day with so much laughter & fun – everyone had an amazing time & it made it so much fun to document. Tom also wins the award for most emotional speech (if there were such an award.) He did a video diary & documented the entire build up to the proposal and the wedding day, then played the video during his speech – I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!!

Chloé & Dave

A few weeks ago, I celebrated my 30th Birthday, & what better way to celebrate your birthday, than by doing something you absolutely love! I had the pleasure of documenting Chloé & Dave’s special day & I cannot think of a nicer bunch of people to spend the day with!! They are such stars they even gave me a special Birthday shoutout in their speeches & then brought me out a stunning cake!

It also marked the first time Heather & I have photographed a wedding together since Robyn was born, 7 months ago – strangely she has been busy up until this point & unable to be my second photographer, but we’re pleased to say we are now back to normal! (Albeit normal +1!)

Anyway, enough about us – back to the lovely Chloé & Dave… They are complete family people, they love their families & children, & they filled their day with both! They had around 20 children for the day (which I think may be some kind of record), one of which being their own daughter Flo – who absolutely stole the show!

Jada & Chino

I don’t find myself in London & Surrey for a lot of weddings – whilst about 85% of my clients are London folks, most choose to get married in the country, Sussex for example. But London is one of my favourite places to shoot – so when Jada & Chino enquired about me photographing their wedding – I knew it would be great.

Lizzie & Duncan

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of traveling from Sussex up to Aylesbury, to photograph Lizzie & Duncan’s wedding.

Loving a good road trip I took a meandering route through Suffolk for a family photography session on route.

I’d been looking forward to their wedding ever since skyping with Lizzie & hearing all about their plans – they wanted a wedding that was part garden party, part festival – all the things I love in a wedding! & with their talented, creative, bunch of friends providing lots of the entertainment, decoration & indeed food, I knew it was going to be a cracking day.

Jess & David

I’ve wanted to photograph a wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst, for quite some time now, it’s part pub, part hotel, part wedding venue & just such a cool place to be – So when Jess & David contacted me about their wedding, I was so excited! They had a beautiful Jewish Wedding at the Bell – they wanted to keep things ultra relaxed, and just have a lovely day with their friends and family in a quintessentially Sussex town, and I think they succeeded!
