I don’t find myself in London for a lot of weddings – whilst about 85% of my clients are London folks, most choose to get married in the country, but it’s one of my favourite places to shoot – so when Jada & Chino enquired about me photographing their wedding – I knew it would be great.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of traveling to Aylesbury, to photograph Lizzie & Duncan’s wedding.
I’d been looking forward to their wedding ever since skyping with Lizzie & hearing all about their plans – they wanted a wedding that was part garden party, part festival – all the things I love in a wedding! & with their talented, creative, bunch of friends providing lots of the entertainment, decoration & indeed food, I knew it was going to be a cracking day.
I’ve wanted to photograph a wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst, for quite some time now, it’s part pub, part hotel, part wedding venue & just such a cool place to be – So when Jess & David contacted me about their wedding, I was so excited! They had a beautiful Jewish Wedding at the Bell – they wanted to keep things ultra relaxed, and just have a lovely day with their friends and family, and I think they succeeded!
Sally & Bill are amongst some of the most vibrant & expressive people I’ve had the pleasure of photographing! They had a beautiful wedding in Arundel – at the Town Hall & then onto Burpham Country House for an evening of celebrations.
Blimey, where to start with this corker of a Brympton House Wedding! A few weeks ago (weeks turn into months pretty quickly when you have a newborn in the house!) I headed along the coast to Somerset for Liss & Matt’s wedding at the stunning Brympton D’evercy House. I regularly travel west for weddings, including places like Bath and Bristol – but this was a completely new place for me and my word, what a place!
Suzanne and Matt are originally from the UK but now live in Australia, and they planned their wedding over Christmas at Buxted Park, just outside of Uckfield in East Sussex, so that their friends and family could all join them for their special day.
I love Buxted Park Weddings, it’s a beautiful venue and I’ve had the privilege of shooting there quite a few times before. It was especially lovely to be there over the festive period with all the Christmas decorations up!
Here’s a selection of my fave pics from the day – good times!
This year seems to have flown by! I’ve been lucky enough to have shot some truly beautiful weddings for some fantastic couples. I’ve also had the opportunity to work at some fab new locations like Worthing Dome and Birling Manor.
Heather and I are really looking forward to 2016, and we’ll hopefully have some really exciting news to share with you in February too!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the lovely couples that have booked Heather and myself this year. Here’s a little round up of some of our fav pictures from 2015.
Jessica and Hugh’s Sussex wedding is another autumn corker! Jessica and Hugh wanted both the groom and bride’s morning prep covered so they booked both Heather and I to photograph their special day – It was also lovely to have Heather back in wedding photographer mode – as she spends a lot of her time creating beautiful wedding videos, it doesn’t often leave time for second shooting!
Regular followers of the blog might remember Jessica and Hugh from their engagement session in Brighton in the summer, where they brought their energetic boxer dog Squid along to join in the fun. And Squid was also a special guest at the wedding – complete with a bow tie collar.
Denise and Stefan’s beautiful Worthing Dome Wedding – Worthing Dome is a beautiful 1911 Edwardian cinema and has only recently started hosting weddings so I was really excited when Denise and Stefan booked me to photograph their wedding there last month.
Autumn has to be my favorite time of year, with all the golden sunlight, crisp mornings and falling leaves. And I’m so excited to have a calendar full of lovely autumn weddings this year, starting off with Carrie and Tim’s gorgeous day at Birling Manor in Eastbourne!
